BALLROOM & LATIN NIGHT meets every 1st Saturday of the month in Dancetime's large main ballroom. This venue features a great mix of the classic Ballroom including Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Cha Cha, Rumba plus an occasional Samba, Salsa, Bolero, Mambo, as well as the Swing and Night Club dances including Jitterbug, Hustle, Night Club Two Steps and East Coast Swing.
Dan Gibbons hosts and teaches a warm up lesson monthly and spins a great playlist of music for all dancers. We welcome beginners and more experienced dancers of all ages! Our venue is well established and widely considered one of the best Ballroom Dance venues in San Diego county! Our specialty is social ballroom dancing for people who love partner dancing!
THE HUSTLE DANCE JAM is one of the largest and most popular dance venues for Hustle dancing in SoCal. The Dancetime Center offers Hustle dancing every 1st & 3rd Saturdays with the 1st Saturday in our Club House room downstairs and the 3rd Saturday in our main ballroom. Hustle Dancing Pro: David Nguyen teaches a warm-up lesson at 8pm before the dance. Pattie Wells started dancing and teaching Hustle dance lessons in the mid-seventies during the Disco era teaching thousands of dancers and teachers plus performing, judging and has continued the tradition throughout the eighties, nineties and two thousands. Our Hustle dance staff consists of Pattie Wells, David Nguyen, Lucky Pahl, Brandon Detty and our teacher assistant Sharon Ferguson. David Nguyen now heads up the Dancetime Hustle dance program with weekly classes plus hosting/deejaying our Hustle dance parties! We often feature visiting Hustle deejays and instructors at our HUSTLE DANCE JAM!
