One hundred minutes of content! More than 30 patterns! Great patterns for social dancing or for competition. This video is fully suitable for the complete beginner, but it goes on to show many intermediate and advanced patterns. Hustle is the perfect dance for dance-beat, nightclub music. It’s easy to learn and can be danced everywhere: ballrooms, nightclubs, Latin clubs, parties, and wedding receptions. In this video we start at the very beginning, the very first step. Although this video is suitable for the complete beginner, it has enough material to carry you to an advanced level. In fact, you will be ready to begin competing in hustle contests if you learn all these patterns and techniques in this video. We teach the three-count hustle, also known as the syncopated hustle or the New York hustle, which is the most popular type of hustle danced today. This is also the style used in all of the major hustle competitions today. We count the first 14 patterns using both of the two counting systems in use today: &1, 2, 3 and 1, 2, &3. At the end of the video, we teach four count hustle, also known as four count swing. The instructors, Joe, Sarah, and Patricia are former dance competitors.
