About Mike & Samantha Anderson

Mike Anderson & Samantha Burnes

Mike Anderson

Mike started dancing in 2009 at a country venue in San Diego. It was there that he was introduced to the concept of movement to music. As a former athlete and lifelong musician, dance captured his attention as it was a culmination of two things that he loved. After exploring various dances, West Coast Swing captured his heart. He found joy and a freedom of expression embedded within the technique and personal style of West Coast Swing. He has a passion for WCS and sharing it with others. He believes in finding each individual’s dance style, all while embracing quality movement, technique, and partnering. — M. Anderson

Samantha Anderson

Samantha started dancing when she was 5 years old. She began with ballet and tap, moving to jazz and ballroom once she started college. It was here that dance becaem a passion of hers for a long time to come. She loves to be able to explore the music in new ways — M. Anderson

Today, Mike and Samantha are happily teaching, dancing, playing live music and competing. They cannot wait to dance with everyone! — M. Anderson (read more on Mike’s website)
